A dramatic scene has been captured in a video which is circulating widely on social media, showing a woman arriving at her alleged ex-boyfriend’s residence accompanied by a police officer to collect utensils.
In the video, the woman enters the house and starts picking household items like utensils.
She is heading claiming the utensils belong to her while the man shouts on how he knows his rights.
The lady is accompanied by two uniformed police officers, who seem to be there to maintain order during the process.
However, the situation quickly takes a dramatic turn when the man, her ex-boyfriend, strongly disputes her claims.
“Vitu gani ni zako? I bought everything here with my own money,” The man is heard saying in the video which he was recording.
He is heard insisting that none of the items in the house belong to her, arguing that everything present is his property.

His emotional reaction and refusal to allow the collection of the items sparked a tense standoff between the two.
“Do you have evidence?” The man asks the lady.
The officers at the scene were saying that they should just take the matter to the police station after the man told them to leave.
“Unauliza mimi ni nani, acha tufike station ndio utajua mimi ni nani,” One police officer who was not in uniform said.
The lady maintains that she only wants what she believes is rightfully hers, while the man repeatedly denies her access to the items.
“Si uache tu nichukue vitu zangu aki,” the lady says in the video.
The circumstances leading up to the breakup and the ownership of the disputed items remain unknown.
The officers at the scene we also arguing about the man recording them.
“Mbona unaturecord? Hauna ruhusa na tunirecord,” the female police officer tells the man.
He then tells them that they are in his house and he has every right to record with his phone.
The video has since sparked mixed reactions online, with social media users divided some sympathizing with the woman for seeking police assistance while others seem to be supporting the man.
“I don’t know why guys are blaming the guy. There is a difference between girlfriend na bibi. Wife has rights to your property while girlfriend doesn’t. In this case this girl has no rights to this guys property she has to give proof of ownership first,” One user on facebook commented.
