KAGRC Advertises 21 Job Opportunities: How to Apply

The Kenya Animal Genetic Resources Centre (KAGRC) announced that there are 21 openings in six departments as it endeavors to boost its capacity to produce and conserve animal genetics.

The state corporation, which operates under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, this week published an advert on its recruitment portal which states that KAGRC needs to recruit a principal internal auditor, one veterinary officer, and one administration officer.

KAGRC is looking for 6 laboratory technicians, 4 office assistants, and 8 livestock assistants, and all vacancies are permanent and pensionable.

KAGRC’s Jobs Mandate and Vision

The KAGRC says it requires suitably qualified personnel to support its mandate to produce, conserve, preserve, and distribute animal genetic material within Kenya.

“KAGRC wishes to recruit qualified persons to fill the positions of,” stated KAGRC.

The center reiterated its quest to have a strong team to foster excellent Kenyan animal genetics.

Candidates are required to submit applications by 5 pm on June 2, 2026, through the online portal at www.kagrc.go.ke, by email to recruitment@kagrc.go.ke, or by hand at its premises on Kapenguria Road, Lower Kabete, Nairobi.

KAGRC’s Role in the Livestock Sector

The centre directed candidates to visit the website for further details of duties and responsibilities for each reference number; however, KAGRC says it shall only communicate with shortlisted candidates.

KAGRRC authorities stated the role in the livestock sector by stocking and dispensing quality animal genetic resources, and is currently embarking on an effort to increase their workforce due to the need to hire personnel in administration and technical fields due to an anticipated increase in service delivery of breeding and conservation services.
