President William Ruto’s son, George Ruto, has sparked online debate after appearing in a TikTok live session hosted by content creator Ann Bree and a fellow digital creator.

Ann Bree was engaging viewers in real time when a verified account identified as George Ruto joined the livestream.

His entry quickly caught the attention of both the hosts and the audience, prompting questions about the account’s authenticity.

Soon after, the interaction took a dramatic turn. The account engaged directly with the hosts and sent a high-value virtual gift known as the “Lion.”

On TikTok, the gift ranks among the platform’s most expensive, with an estimated value of between Ksh 33,000 and Ksh 52,000 depending on conversion rates.

 George Ruto’s “Lion Gift” Lands During Live Session

Once they verified that it belonged to George Ruto, the moment quickly gained traction. Viewers flooded the comment section with reactions.

The moment quickly spread to X, where users reacted with a mix of humour, criticism and speculation.

Some users interpreted the gesture as a deliberate attempt to capture the creator’s attention, suggesting he was “throwing a hook” during the livestream.

“George Ruto anarusha ndoano mnamuanika,” Tabby_wa_coast wrote.

The Nairobi Times commented with humour that George was seeking interest in Bree, stating:

“Bro is simping.”

Meanwhile, George Ruto has recently increased his public visibility, especially through his presence on social media.

He often interacts with digital creators and online audiences, a move that continues to draw public attention.

However, he is not yet married. He has made several appearances at weddings, where he often delivers light-hearted speeches.

During these moments, he openly stated that he is still single and therefore unable to offer marriage advice to newlyweds.
