SHA Shortlists 7 Candidates for Senior Role After Receiving 100 Applications

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has shortlisted seven candidates for the position of Assistant Director of Corporate Communication after receiving 100 applications for the role.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, May 27, SHA Chairperson Dr. Abdi Mohamed announced that the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on June 3, 2026, at the authority’s headquarters in Nairobi.
According to the notice, the position was among vacancies advertised by the authority on March 31, 2026, through local newspapers and the SHA website. Interested candidates had until April 21, 2026, to submit their applications.
“Subsequent to the closure of the advertisement on 21st April 2026, the applications received and the resultant shortlist are as indicated below,” part of the statement read.
Data released by SHA showed that out of the 100 applications received for the Assistant Director Corporate Communication position, only seven candidates were shortlisted, while 93 applicants were not shortlisted.
The authority identified the shortlisted candidates as Fridah Jerotich Tallam, Kenneth Kibet, Jane Muthoki Mason, Brenda Kaaria, Joan Wetumi Njaro, Winfred Nduku Nthiani and Seroney Faith.
The interviews will be conducted at the SHA Headquarters’ 10th Floor Boardroom.
Interview Schedule and Requirements as Directed by SHA
SHA directed all shortlisted candidates to report to the interview venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled interview time.

The authority further instructed applicants to carry original copies of several documents, including their national identity cards, academic and professional certificates, and transcripts.
Additional Requirements
Candidates are also required to present valid clearance certificates from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), a registered Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

For applicants who studied abroad, SHA said they must provide recognition letters from the Commission for University Education (CUE) for their foreign degrees.
The authority additionally asked candidates to carry recommendation letters or certificates of good standing from relevant professional bodies where applicable, alongside any other supporting testimonials.
Members of the Public Invited
At the same time, SHA invited members of the public to submit any adverse information regarding the shortlisted candidates before the interviews are conducted.
The information can be submitted physically to the Chairperson at the SHA Building in Nairobi or sent through the authority’s official recruitment email before June 2, 2026, at 5:00 pm.
The recruitment process is being conducted under Section 17 and Schedule I of the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023, which guides appointments within the authority.
