Mombasa Water Announces Job Vacancies: How to Apply

Mombasa Water Supply & Sanitation Company Limited has announced a recruitment drive targeting senior and management-level professionals as it seeks to strengthen leadership across its core operational and strategic departments.
The utility firm, based along Mikindani Street off Nkrumah Road in Mombasa, has opened applications for seven key positions.
It says the exercise aims to improve efficiency in service delivery, enhance financial stability, and strengthen engineering and supply chain systems.
At the centre of the recruitment drive is the Managing Director position (Ref: MWSSC/HR/MD-001/2026), which will run on a five-year contract.
The successful candidate will provide overall strategic leadership and guide the company’s long-term vision in water supply and sanitation services across Mombasa County.
In addition, Mombasa Water has advertised two General Manager positions as follows:
- GM – Engineering & Strategy (Ref: MWSSC/HR/ENG-002/2026) — five-year contract
- GM – Finance (Ref: MWSSC/HR/FIN-003/2026) — five-year contract
These roles will focus on strengthening infrastructure development, operational planning, and financial management within the utility.
Mombasa Water Targets Permanent and Pensionable Managerial Staff
Beyond the executive openings, Mombasa Water has also advertised the following positions:
- Finance Manager (Ref: MWSSC/HR/FM-004/2026) — permanent and pensionable
- Human Resource Manager (Ref: MWSSC/HR/HRM-005/2026) — permanent and pensionable
- Manager Supply Chain Management (Ref: MWSSC/HR/SCM-006/2026) — permanent and pensionable
These roles aim to strengthen long-term institutional capacity within the utility.
Each position will support key internal systems, including:
- Financial accountability
- Workforce management
- Procurement processes
- Logistics coordination

Application and Compliance Requirements
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Detailed CVs
- Academic and professional certificates
- Valid practicing licenses (where applicable)
- Copy of National ID for proof of Kenyan citizenship
In addition, candidates must present clearance certificates from:
- Criminal Investigations Department (CID)
- Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
- Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Mombasa Water has stressed compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution, noting that integrity checks will form a key part of the selection process.
It has also confirmed that recruitment will reflect gender balance, ethnic diversity, disability inclusion, and regional balance.
