Marion Naipei and Pastor Kanyari's brother go viral after taking part in the 'Siaka Siaka Challenge' in a video that has sparked debate online.

A video of TikToker Marion Naipei dancing with Pastor Victor Kanyari’s brother, Apostle Jackson Mwangi, to the popular “Siaka Siaka” challenge by artist Meja has gone viral on social media.

The clip, which appears to have been recorded during an event, shows Naipei and Apostle Jackson dancing together as people around them sing along, cheer, and join in the dance.

The video has sparked mixed reactions online. While some social media users found the moment entertaining, others questioned whether the dance was appropriate, with many claiming it was recorded inside a church.

One user commented, “Naipei ako kwa hii church tena,” expressing surprise at seeing the TikToker at the venue.

However, others argued that the event may not have been held inside a church.

Njeri Wa Gathogo wrote:

“Hii si ‘church.’ Ukicheki kwa background, ni kama ilikuwa event, but sasa sijui niseme nini.”

Another user, Shiko Kim, commented:

“Wait! Mbona Yesu hawaachapi, ama hii sio church? Kwa Biblia kuna mahali watu walichapiwa kanisa…”

Ali Walia also weighed in, joking:

“Hii ni hymn ya kutoa sadaka kwa hiyo church.”

Controversies Surrounding Naipei and Her Role within the Ministry

Naipei, who was initially appointed an usher in Kanyari’s Salvation Healing Ministry and later promoted to prophetess, temporarily stepped away after the alcohol and drama controversies surrounding her.

She later returned to the ministry, apologizing for her past behavior, stating that she is still active in church services.

The Salvation Healing Ministry founder, Pastor Victor Kanyari, had recently complained about Naipei’s drinking habits, even after he appointed her to sensitive positions in his church.

“I have had endless discussions with Marion Naipei on quitting the habit of alcohol consumption, but her commitments were usually unsubstantiated with apparent evidence suggesting otherwise,” he said.

Kanyari went ahead to assure the internet that he will not turn his back on Naipei despite the perceived ill-conduct.

“My mission in ministry is to guide individuals to change their ways, and I will not leave Marion to fall through, regardless of how challenging and long it may take.” He stated, adding, “It is true that some individuals are more stubborn, but I will do all within my power to help her transform into a better human being.”

Cyber-Bullying and Public Scrutiny

Earlier this year, Naipei attracted widespread attention after videos showing her allegedly intoxicated at a Nairobi nightclub circulated online.

The videos sparked intense debate on social media, with Naipei later reporting the matter to Buruburu Police Station. She was accompanied by Nairobi Chief Environment Officer Geoffrey Mosiria.

Naipei has also spoken publicly about her struggles with alcohol addiction and depression.

Social media users are still weighing in, with some welcoming the jovial moment while others are calling out the dancing in a religious place.
