KNEC Announces Release of March 2026 Business, Technical Exam Results

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially released the results for the March 2026 Business and Technical examinations, marking the end of the assessment process for candidates who sat the exams earlier this year.
In a notice issued to Heads of Institutions on July 13 2026, KNEC announced that the results are now ready for collection at the council’s New Mitihani House offices in South C, Nairobi.
Institutions can collect the results on weekdays between 8:00. a.m. and 5:00. p.m.
KNEC directed that all outstanding examination fee arrears must be cleared before institutions can collect the results.
Queries
KNEC further stated that any queries regarding the released results must be submitted online by Heads of Institutions within 30 days from the date of release.
The council emphasized that only authorized institutional heads will be allowed to lodge result queries through its online platform.

According to the notice, institutions that submit result queries after 9 August 2026 will be required to pay a penalty fee of Ksh 5,000.
The council instructed institutions to submit all result-related queries through the KNEC Query Management Information System (QMIS), which is accessible via the official KNEC portal.
Candidates To Proceed With Certification
The release of the March 2026 Business and Technical examination results is expected to enable institutions and candidates to proceed with certification, progression to higher levels of study, and other academic or professional requirements that depend on the examination outcomes.
KNEC has urged Heads of Institutions to adhere to the stipulated timelines and ensure all requirements are met to avoid delays in accessing results or processing any appeals.
The Business and Technical examinations are administered by KNEC to assess learners pursuing technical, vocational and business-related programmes across the country.

The examinations form part of Kenya’s national assessment framework aimed at certifying competencies in various technical and professional fields.
Institutions seeking clarification or wishing to raise concerns over the released results have been advised to use the designated online system within the prescribed period.
