In a statement, the Kenya Red Cross Society confirmed that response teams had been deployed to the scene and were working to contain the blaze.

“A fire has broken out in the Southlands area of Lang’ata, Nairobi. Response teams are on the ground working to contain the blaze. More updates will follow,” the Kenya Red Cross said.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established, and there were no immediate reports of injuries or the extent of the damage at the time of publication.

Emergency responders continue to battle the fire as authorities assess the situation.

Lang’ata Fire Contained

In a recent update, the Kenya Red Cross said the fire has been contained.

Response teams successfully brought the blaze under control after being deployed to the scene to contain the fire.
