The NYOTA program is a Kenyan government initiative funded by the World Bank that aims to empower vulnerable youth by creating employment opportunities, enhancing income generation, and promoting savings.
According to President William Ruto, this program targets around 820,000 young Kenyans between 18 and 29 (or 35 for persons with disabilities) with a Form 4 education or below.
The project mostly offers structured apprenticeships, business support with seed capital, and helps formalize skills through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
The committee highlighted that the project may open additional application windows.
If this happens, it will be announced through the official NYOTA website and social media channels.

“We have Ksh20 billion from the World Bank to give to our youth. We will be targeting 800,000 youths who will receive funding under different categories of the NYOTA project,” Ruto stated.
