Uhuru Loses to Gachagua as MP Hassan Abdi Joins DCP
Share
Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan Abdi has joined the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), leaving the ruling Jubilee Party.
This comes as former President Uhuru Kenyatta continues to battle former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for support in the Mt. Kenya region.
Hassan’s decision also comes after days of rumours that he was planning to join Gachagua’s camp, dealing a major blow to Uhuru.
Blogger Bianca said the DCP outfit is really benefiting by accommodating decampers from Uhuru’s Party.
“Rigathi Gachagua is really harvesting from Jubilee. Yaani, Uhuru Kenyatta loses as Gachagua harvests. Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan Abdi will be dumping Jubilee for DCP today. The sponsor has failed to put his house in order,” Bianca wrote on X.
Several X users commented on the move.
@User Bianca stated, “Rigathi Gachagua is really harvesting from Jubilee, yaani Uhuru Kenyatta loses as Gachagua harvests. The sponsor has failed to put his house in order.”
