The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) has opened registration for aspirants seeking to contest elective positions under its ticket ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The party has asked prospective aspirants to complete the registration process and submit their details for the positions they intend to contest.

DCP said registration will give aspirants an opportunity to participate in the party’s nomination process and engage voters at the grassroots.

“Registering as a DCP aspirant gives you more than a place on the list, it gives you an opportunity to build, organize and champion the party at the grassroots,” the party said.

DCP Registration Process

To register, aspirants must pay the applicable fee through PayBill 247247 using account number 254829. The party lists the account name as DEMOCRACY FOR THE CITIZENS PARTY.

After making the payment, aspirants must send the transaction message alongside their full name, ID, phone number, county, constituency, ward, and the position they intend to vie for to the party through its designated contacts.

DCP has set the fees as follows:

  • MCA: Ksh 5,000
  • MP: Ksh 10,000
  • Women Representatives: Ksh 10,000
  • Senator: Ksh 10,000
  • Governor: Ksh 50,000

At the same time, the party said youth and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) will pay 50 percent of the applicable fee in each category.
