Stevo Simple Boy’s Former Manager Apologizes Over Claims That the Child Is His

Stevo Simple Boy’s former manager, Geoffrey Machabe, has apologised to the musician, his wife Brenda, their family and fans after claiming that their son was his biological child.

In a statement dated Friday, September 18, 2026, Machabe said he regretted making the statement and clarified that the child is not his.

He added that he acknowledged that his remarks had caused confusion and controversy, saying he took full responsibility for what he had said.

“I would like to sincerely apologize to Stevo Simple Boy, his wife Brenda, their family, and the entire Stevo Simple Boy fanbase for my recent statement claiming that the child is mine,” Machabe said.

Machabe Withdraws Paternity Claim

Machabe said he wanted to make it clear that he is not the child’s father and expressed regret over the claim.

“I want to make it clear that the child is not mine, and I deeply regret making such a statement. It was wrong, irresponsible, and I take full responsibility for my words,” he said.

He described his earlier remarks as a careless statement that had the potential to cause pain and misunderstanding.

“Sometimes a careless or ‘slippery tongue’ can cause pain, confusion, and unnecessary controversy,” Machabe said.

The former manager asked Stevo, Brenda, their families, and fans to forgive him for the statement and any hurt it may have caused.

In his apology, Machabe said he had reflected on his remarks and understood the seriousness of what he had said.

Brenda Had Rejected Alleged Relationship

Machabe’s apology comes after Brenda publicly rejected claims that she had ever been romantically involved with the former manager.

Speaking during a phone interview with radio presenter Anakali Ray, Brenda maintained that her relationship with Machabe was strictly connected to his former role as Stevo Simple Boy’s manager.

Her comments followed Machabe’s appearance on Oga Obinna’s Riba Show, where he had made claims about Brenda and the child’s paternity.

During the interview with Oga Obinna, Machabe claimed Brenda had initially been his girlfriend and alleged that people in their circle knew about their relationship.

He further claimed that the two resumed the alleged relationship after he stopped managing Stevo and that Brenda was already pregnant with what he claimed was his child.

Machabe also alleged that the two had planned to raise the child together after birth.

He went on to claim that he had remained secretly involved in the child’s life and that he had suggested the child’s first name to Brenda.

Machabe also alleged that Brenda stayed at his house for a period after she and Stevo separated for about four months following the child’s birth.
