Lyndah Kebati, popularly known as Thee Lovechild, is a Kenyan plus-size model, digital content creator, influencer and fashion entrepreneur who has recently attracted widespread attention following an emotional confrontation at the burial of her late father, Bosco Atinda Kebati.
She is the founder of Mrembo Satisfashion, a fashion business she established after struggling to find stylish, well-fitting clothes that reflected her personality and catered to the needs of plus-size women.
How Lyndah Started Her Fashion Business
As a plus-size woman, Lyndah has embraced body positivity and uses her platform to advocate for greater representation and inclusivity in the fashion industry.
Through her work as a fashion influencer, content creator, and entrepreneur, she shares fashion, lifestyle and styling content while promoting confidence and self-expression among plus-size women.
In a 2022 interview with People Daily, Lyndah explained that her interest in fashion grew partly from the difficulty she experienced finding trendy and stylish clothes in plus sizes.
Rather than settling for the limited options available, she began having her own outfits designed and tailored to suit her personal style. What started as a way to address her own fashion needs eventually grew into Mrembo Satisfashion.
Lyndah said she was particularly frustrated by the limited selection of fashionable clothing available to full-figured women.
According to her, many plus-size clothing outlets did not offer the youthful, trendy, and distinctive designs she was looking for.
This prompted her to create and customize pieces that matched her sense of style, eventually turning her personal experience into a fashion business.
Meanwhile, Kebati has continued to establish herself as a digital personality under the name Thee Lovechild, sharing fashion, lifestyle, and styling content with her audience.
Family Background
Kebati is the daughter of the late Kenyan musician Bosco Atinda Kebati and Angelica Akinyi Okoth. She has generally kept details of her family life private.
