Standard Group PLC has warned radio stations against broadcasting English Premier League (EPL) matches without authorisation, threatening immediate legal action as the competition returns for Matchweek 6 following an extended international break.
In a public notice, the media company said it holds exclusive radio broadcast rights for the 2026/2027 season in Kenya, giving it sole authority to air Premier League matches on radio within the country.
“No other radio broadcaster is permitted to air or attempt to air any English Premier League matches during this period,” the company stated.

Fans will be able to follow the matches through Radio Maisha, Spice FM and Berur FM, the three stations named by the company as its platforms for live EPL coverage.
This warning comes as the league resumes after an international break that ran from September 21 to October 6, with the competition having paused after Matchweek 5.
The extended window allowed national teams to play international fixtures before club football returned.
