Fully Funded Hungary Scholarships Now Open for Kenyans

The Ministry of Education, through the State Department for Higher Education, has announced the opening of applications for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The program, funded by the Government of Hungary through the Tempus Public Foundation, aims to support Kenyan students pursuing higher education abroad.

According to the notice, two hundred (200) scholarships are available to eligible Kenyan applicants.

The scholarships will cover studies in Bachelors, Masters, One-Tier Masters, and PhD programs at various universities in Hungary.

Application Window Opens on November 15, 2025

The Ministry stated that the online application portal, accessible via https://apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu, will open on 15th November 2025 and remain active until 15th January 2026.

“All interested candidates are encouraged to apply early to avoid last-minute challenges,” the Ministry advised.

Applicants are also reminded that all submissions must be made through the official online portal.

In addition, candidates are required to submit their complete applications to the Ministry of Education on or before 16th January 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

This ensures their eligibility for consideration by both the Kenyan and Hungarian selection panels.

Ministry Encourages Eligible Kenyans to Apply

The Ministry further urged qualified Kenyans to take advantage of the opportunity, describing it as a gateway to world-class education.

“The awards are tenable at Hungarian universities,” the announcement emphasized, underscoring the high academic standards and international learning exposure the program offers.
