Mining Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ali Hassan Joho has announced the death of his advisor and mentor, Mzee Hamid Khamis Mohammed Bin Juma.

In a statement on Sunday, November 30, Joho said he is heartbroken since he was never prepared for his demise.

“My guide, my advisor and mentor, Mzee Hamid Khamis Mohammed Bin Juma, has returned to his Lord. Truly, this has struck my heart with a weight I was not prepared for. The pain is deep, and the silence he leaves behind feels heavier than words can carry,” Joho said.

The CS said he will forever miss the departed elder’s wisdom and the calm, steady counsel that helped him navigate difficult moments.

He noted that he will deeply miss the fatherly understanding, patience, gentle corrections, and unwavering commitment to family that defined him.

Joho described the late elder as a pillar, a shelter, and a constant source of comfort and direction.

“Mzee, I will forever miss your wisdom, the calm, steady counsel that always brought clarity to my storms. I will miss your fatherly understanding, your patience, your gentle corrections and your unwavering commitment to family. You were a pillar, a shelter, a source of comfort and direction,” Joho said.

He added that the elder’s legacy, teachings, and love will continue to guide the family long after his voice is gone.

Joho prayed that Allah may envelop him in endless mercy, illuminate his grave with light, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

“Your legacy, your teachings, and your love will remain with us, guiding our footsteps long after your voice has quieted. May Allah envelop you in His endless mercy, shine your grave with light and grant you Jannatul Firdaus,” he said.
