Registrar of Political Parties J.C. Lorionokou has issued a notice for provisional registration of the United Super Alliance Party (USAP) and People Centred Party (PEC).

In a notice on December 2, J.C. Lorionokou said the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) is established under section 33 of the Political Parties Act, Cap. 7D (PPA) as a State Office within the meaning of Article 260 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

The mandate of the ORPP is to register and regulate political parties and to administer the Political Parties Fund.

In line with Section 5 (2) (a) of the PPA, the Registrar of Political Parties is in the process of provisionally registering two proposed political parties.

United Super Alliance Party

This includes the United Super Alliance Party (USAP), whose colours are French Violet, Metallic Gold, and Silver.

USAP’s party symbol is the Eye, and the slogan is “Tuko Macho”.

The Party founding members include Benson Mwaura Mbugua, Justus Weru Irungu, Brian James Oguna, Florence Nyarotso Nyongesa, and Mercy Wanjiru Maliti.

ORPP Registers PEC

The second party is the People Centred Party (PEC).

PEC colours are Orange, Green, and White.

The Party symbol is a Bulb and the slogan is “Fursa kwa wote.”

Founding members are Martin Ambrose Mutua, Nancy Kwamboka Omweri, Joseph Gichuki Karuri, Mbogai Sarah Mkarie, James Nyang’au Gichana, and Brian Ingonga Inzai.

“Particulars of the above-listed proposed political parties have been provided on the ORPP website, www.orpp.or.ke,” ORPP said.

How to Submit Oan bjection

Any objections may be presented from the date of publication of this notice in writing or in person within seven (7) days to: Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP), Lion Place, fourth floor, off-Waiyaki way at Karuna Close, PO Box 1131-00606, Nairobi.
