Egerton University Launches Parents’ Portal to Track Students’ Perfomance and Fees

Egerton University has introduced a Parents’ Portal that allows parents, guardians and sponsors to access information about their students’ academic progress, fees and accommodation.

The university said the platform gives parents access to student information without requiring them to wait for report days or visit the institution.

In addition, the portal provides information linked to the university’s student records.

“The Parents Portal is an exciting opportunity for parents/guardians/sponsors to become more involved in their student(s)’ academic progress,” the university stated.

Parents of Egerton University Can Access Academic and Fee Information

Through the portal, parents can view a student profile containing information such as the registration number, academic programme and other general details.

Furthermore, the platform provides a fee structure showing the amount payable for a specific financial period, such as a semester or term.

Parents can also access provisional examination results through the portal. As a result, they can view their students’ academic performance through the university’s online system.

Additionally, the accommodation section provides information including the accommodation block, room number, bed number and the semester for which accommodation has been paid.

Portal Provides Access to Student Records

Egerton University said the Parents Portal is intended to increase the involvement of parents, guardians and sponsors in students’ academic progress.

Moreover, Egerton University’s official Parents Portal confirms that parents and guardians can use the platform to access their students’ information online.

The university had previously established a Parents/Guardian Portal in August 2022. In a notice dated August 22, 2022, Egerton stated that the web-based system would provide parents and guardians with direct communication and support concerning their children at the university.

Similarly, an Egerton University publication from August 2022 described the Parents Portal as a web-based system linked to the university’s Student Information System.
