The institution is now among those which have recorded such fire outbreaks in their premises.
The latest incident follows the tragic fire at Utumishi Girls Academy in Gilgil on May 28, where 16 girls lost their lives.
In response to the Gilgil tragedy, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen directed all schools to install CCTV cameras in key areas of their premises to monitor student activity and help prevent future fire incidents.
At the same time, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba ordered a fresh nationwide inspection of all boarding schools.
The inspections are expected to be conducted over a 10-day period as authorities seek to identify safety gaps and enforce compliance with established standards.
Government officials have warned that once the inspection exercise is completed, strict action will be taken against principals, teachers and schools found to be exposing students to danger through inadequate safety measures.
