HF Group Plc Announces Change of Name

HF Group Plc has officially changed its name to HFCB Group Plc after shareholder approval and registration by the Registrar of Companies.

In a public notice dated May 22, 2026, the company announced that the name change took effect on the same day after shareholders approved the move during a general meeting held on September 4, 2024.

The company stated in the notice that rebranding to HFCB Group Plc does not affect its legal status or any of its existing obligations and operations.

The company stated that all rights, liabilities, assets, contractual relationships, and engagements with customers, partners, and stakeholders will remain unchanged despite the new identity.

HF Group Name Change

Stakeholders have been asked to take note of the new name in the future.

The announcement further clarified that the change was approved after the company held a meeting and also received a Certificate of Change of Name from the Registrar of Companies.

HFCB Group Plc also maintained that it will continue operating as a non-operating holding company regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya.

The notice also included a disclaimer indicating that the announcement had been issued with the approval of the Capital Markets Authority in line with the Capital Markets (Securities) (Public Offers, Listing and Disclosures) Regulations 2023.

HF Group To Continue Normal Operations 

However, the company stated that it assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of the statements contained in the announcement, describing the notice as only informational in nature.

The company did not indicate whether the name change would affect its subsidiaries, branding strategy, or even market operations.

This transition marks a significant corporate identity shift for the financial services group, which has operated under the HF Group Plc name for years.

The rebranding comes amid ongoing changes in Kenya’s financial sector, where institutions continue to restructure and reposition themselves to align with evolving market demands and corporate strategies.

HFCB Group Plc reiterated that customers and stakeholders should continue engaging with the company as usual, with no disruption expected in its services or operations after the change of name.
