Work has been made easier for Safaricom users as Safaricom launches a new feature on the My One App where customers can be able to request and activate an eSIM.

The new feature has made it easy for customers to acquire an eSIM from the comfort of their own homes or wherever they are.

First for a person to get an eSIM, one needs to log in to the My One App and request an eSIM; after the request, you can still check if the request has been accepted.

After checking the status of the eSIM one requested, they can also activate the eSIM in the app; this makes it easy to get it.

Feature On My One App

However, to get an eSIM, you need a phone that is compatible with it; it is recommended to know which phone a person uses and whether it can accommodate an eSIM.

Customers should also ensure that they follow the instructions provided on the My One App during the request and activation process to avoid difficulties when setting up the eSIM on their devices.

An eSIM, also known as an embedded SIM, is a digital SIM that allows users to access mobile network services without inserting a physical SIM card into their phones.

Unlike traditional SIM cards, which require users to insert a small plastic card into a SIM slot, an eSIM is built into compatible devices and can be activated digitally.
