Kenyan gospel artist and media personality Linet Munyali, popularly known as Size 8, has urged young people to make intentional decisions about how they spend their time, saying she now wishes she had used her youthful years more wisely.
Speaking during an interview on the NTV show Crossover, Size 8 reflected on her life journey as she prepares to turn 39 in August.
She explained that the milestone has pushed her to reassess her priorities and rethink how she uses her time and energy.
Over time, she noted that her outlook on life has shifted significantly, especially as many things she once valued no longer feel as important.
“I am turning 39 in August, and when I look at my calendar, I have around 30 more years of strength,” she said.
At the same time, she said this reflection has made her think deeply about missed opportunities and how different choices could have shaped her current path.

Size 8 Reconsiders Youthful Choices and Life Direction
Building on her reflections, Size 8 encouraged young people to focus on decisions that create long-term value.
She urged them to use their most productive years wisely and align their daily habits with meaningful goals.
While she acknowledged that enjoyment plays a role in life, she warned that excessive focus on short-term pleasures can easily distract people from long-term purpose and growth.
“I wish I had used my youthful days better. Now I could have been further than where I am today,” she added.
She further advised young audiences to rethink how they spend both time and money, noting that some social activities may appear important in the moment but lose meaning over time.
“That party you must attend and that BnB you must pay for, when you turn 39, it is useless,” she said.

Lifestyle and Daily Priorities
In addition, Size 8 revealed that she has intentionally changed her daily routine as part of her personal growth.
One key adjustment is to limit time spent on television and social media platforms.
Instead of spending long hours online, she now prioritises completing her work before stepping away from digital distractions.
“I don’t waste time on TV and social media. I do my work and post, then I leave,” she stated further.
Ultimately, Size 8’s reflections serve as a reminder for young people to balance enjoyment with purpose and make choices that support long-term success.
