KCAA Publishes Official List of 20 Aviation Schools to Train Pilots and Crew

For students pursuing professional credentials in the aviation sector, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has released an updated directory of Approved Training Organizations (ATOs).

The list, which lists over 20 accredited schools across the country, aims to ensure that aspiring pilots enroll in programs that meet the stringent safety and educational standards established by the Republic of Kenya.

Wilson Airport in Nairobi continues to be the main aviation training center in East Africa, according to the data.

A vast majority of the approved schools, including well-known names like the Ninety Nines Flying School, Flight Training Centre, and Phoenix-based Proactive Air Services, operate out of this facility.

Beyond the capital, the KCAA has also certified training facilities in other regions to decentralize access to aviation education. These include institutions with footprints in Malindi, Mombasa, Nanyuki (Mt. Kenya Flight School), and Orly Airpark.
