The Kenyan Embassy in Moscow has issued a notice providing emergency contact numbers to Kenyans living in or travelling in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

In a notice issued on September 5, the embassy announced two emergency numbers, which are + 7 (968) 014 84 32 and +7 (968) 014 84 33, for Kenyans who may require urgent assistance while in the three countries.

“The Embassy also wishes to take this opportunity to continue encouraging the Kenyan diaspora in the Russia Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan or those travelling/transiting through these accredited countries to register/notify the Embassy through the Embassy website, email, social media or via telephone provided,” the notice stated.

According to the notice, the contacts are intended to help citizens access consular services during emergencies or when they need clarification and other necessary assistance.

The Embassy also urged members of the Kenyan diaspora as well as travellers and those passing through Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan to register or notify the mission through its official website, email, social media or telephone.

Effective Communication

According to the Embassy, keeping updated contact information will enable it to communicate more effectively with Kenyans abroad and provide timely support whenever assistance is required.

The notice further stated that the Embassy remains open and available to provide a range of consular services to Kenyans who may find themselves in distress or require any clarifications and assistance.

“The Embassy is open and available to the Kenyan diaspora to access consular services when they are in distress or require any other services, clarifications or necessary assistance,” said the statement.

These services include responding to emergencies and facilitating communication between Kenyan citizens and the mission when necessary.

Kenyan Embassy in Moscow is accredited not only to the Russian Federation but also to the Republic of Belarus and Kazakhstan, making it the country’s primary diplomatic mission responsible for consular services across the three countries.

Moscow Mission

Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs lists the Moscow mission as Kenya’s accredited embassy for the three states, with responsibilities that extend to supporting the Kenyan diaspora and safeguarding citizens’ welfare abroad.

This latest notice comes as the embassy continues encouraging Kenyans overseas to remain connected with official government communication channels, especially when travelling, relocating or facing emergencies.

By urging citizens to register with the mission and use the newly provided emergency contacts when necessary, the embassy says it aims to strengthen its ability to respond fast and ensure Kenyans across Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan can access assistance whenever they are in need.
