Kenya Maritime Authority Announces 77 Job Vacancies – How to Apply

The Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) has announced multiple job opportunities for qualified candidates.

In a notice dated Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the Authority declared 77 positions vacant and invited interested applicants to apply.

“The Kenya Maritime Authority is a State Corporation whose mandate is to regulate, coordinate, and oversee maritime affairs, as guided by the Kenya Maritime Authority Act, 2006, the Merchant Shipping Act, 2009, and relevant international maritime conventions.

The Authority is seeking to recruit highly competent, proactive, and self-driven individuals to fill the following vacant positions,” read part of the notice.

Among the junior positions advertised are Office Assistant (4 positions), Assistant Office Administrator (1 position), and Office Administrator (1 position).

Senior positions advertised include Assistant Director (1 position), Principal Legal Officer (Maritime Governance) (1 position), and Principal Ship Surveyor (11 positions).

All applications must be submitted through the online portal with an application letter and a detailed curriculum vitae (CV) indicating academic qualifications, professional qualifications, experience, professional memberships or licenses (where applicable), valid email addresses, telephone contacts, copies of certificates, national ID, and other testimonials.

Kenya Maritime Authority also noted that it is an equal opportunity employer, therefore allowing Youth, persons living with disabilities, and individuals from marginalised areas to apply.
