An Eldoret street wedding has captured widespread attention after Kiprop and Chebet exchanged vows in a lively public ceremony officiated remotely by Nairobi Chief Environment Officer Geoffrey Mosiria via video call.

Mosiria presided over the ceremony in real time and guided the couple step by step through their vows as a crowd gathered along the street to witness the unusual event.

As the ceremony progressed, the live video setup drew more attention, and clips from the moment quickly spread across social media platforms.

Meanwhile, Obidan Dela, a Kenyan content creator and brand influencer, coordinated proceedings on the ground, relayed instructions from Mosiria, and ensured the ceremony flowed smoothly.

At the same time, Mosiria led the vows while Kiprop and Chebet repeated after him.

As they followed along, members of the public cheered, recorded videos, and reacted in real time, especially when the groom struggled to keep pace with some of the lines.

Soon after, the ceremony took a lively turn when Mosiria directed the couple to share a “two-minute kiss.”

Immediately, the crowd responded with chants of “Piga busu! Piga busu!”, amplifying the festive atmosphere.

As the moment unfolded, Obidan Dela stepped forward and kept time, ensuring the instruction was followed as issued during the live call.

Shortly afterward, Mosiria added humour to the ceremony with the remark, “Hata kama sijapiga mswaki…”, which sparked laughter among those in attendance and kept the energy high.
