Maseno University Announces Mass Hiring of Part-Time Lecturers Across Nine Schools

Maseno University has announced mass hiring for qualified part-time lecturers to teach across nine of its academic schools during the 2026/2027 academic year.
In a public notice, the institution invited applications from eligible candidates to fill teaching positions in its Schools of Arts and Social Sciences, Business and Economics, Education, Engineering, Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health and Community Development, and Science.
“In pursuit of its mission and mandate, the University wishes to invite applications from suitable qualified candidates to fill the Part-Time Teaching position indicated below,” read part of the notice.
Maseno University Calls for Applications to Fill Part-Time Lecturer Positions
The institution said the recruitment aims to support teaching and learning across its diverse academic programmes by bringing on board qualified professionals with expertise in various disciplines.
According to the notice, the vacancies are distributed across the university’s nine schools, with each school seeking lecturers in various specialised fields.

How to Apply
Interested candidates have been directed to visit the Maseno University website https://www.maseno.ac.ke/ to view the detailed job requirements and qualifications for each position.
Applicants are required to submit an updated curriculum vitae, copies of all academic and professional certificates, academic transcripts, their latest payslip, and recommendation letters from three referees.

Maseno University further said applications must be submitted in 10 hard copies, clearly indicating the reference number of the position being applied for, and addressed to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Administration, Finance and Development on or before July 29, 2026.

In addition, the university noted that it is an equal opportunity employer and encouraged applications from all qualified candidates, including women, persons from marginalized groups, and persons living with disabilities.
Those living with a disability are required to attach their National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) certificate, where applicable.
Maseno University added that late applications will not be considered, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification, and no fee is charged at any stage of the recruitment process.
