Minet Kenya CEO Sammy Muthui Lands New Regional Role

Minet Group has announced the appointment of Sammy Muthui as Chief Executive Officer, Eastern Africa Region, extending the term of its long-time Minet Kenya chief executive as the pan-African insurance and risk advisory group looks to strengthen partnerships across its regional business.
“Minet Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Sammy Muthui as Chief Executive Officer for the Eastern Africa Region, expanding his mandate to lead the growth of Minet’s business across the region,” the group said in the announcement signed by Onsando.
Muthui shall continue to be the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Minet Kenya in addition to the increased regional duties.
Minet noted Muthui has over three decades of experience in the insurance industry and also has knowledge in the fields of strategic leadership, business development, operations and management of complex insurance and risk projects.
The group described his experience as a “strong track record” that will support his expanded responsibilities across Eastern Africa.
In his new role, Muthui will work with country CEOs to strengthen cooperation among Minet’s regional businesses while allowing individual markets to maintain their local leadership structures.
“In this regional role, he will work with country CEOs to deepen collaboration, share expertise and best practices, and strengthen Minet’s collective capabilities across Eastern Africa, while preserving strong local leadership,” the company said.

Minet’s Value Creation Strategy
The appointment is also aimed at improving the way Minet’s regional businesses share knowledge and expertise, with the group expecting benefits for its clients, employees and shareholders.
“This approach will deliver greater value to clients, employees, and shareholders through broader expertise, stronger development, knowledge-sharing opportunities and sustainable long-term growth,” Minet said.

Muthui’s Leadership Impact
The company said Muthui’s appointment will enable it to leverage expertise across its Eastern African operations and create stronger opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
The announcement did not disclose any changes to Muthui’s existing responsibilities as CEO and Managing Director of Minet Kenya.
