Missing Senior KFS Legal Officer Found Dead

The body of Esther Wairimu, who was the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) Legal Services Manager, has been found dead at a farm in Juja, this is after disappearing on June 10, 2026.

Earlier, KFS, the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), and her family had appealed to the public for help in tracing her after she disappeared.

The police had established that she disappeared after leaving the Senate Hotel in Juja, where she had gone to inquire about joining a gym before her phone went off.

Police have already launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death; however, the cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Investigations

According to Juja Sub County police commander Isaac Kombo Wairimu’s body was discovered at Area 4 near Karimenu in Juja.

Her brother also said that her body was found on July 6 2026.

Two gamily members visited the scene and positively identified the remains although investigators say that the body had already begun decomposing.

Wairimu’s body has been moved to the Kenyatta University, Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital awaiting an autopsy which will reveal the exact cause of death.

Her Career

Wairimu was also an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Certified Secretary (CS), a Certified Professional Mediator, and had over 20 years of legal experience in both the public and private sectors.

Her family revealed that she had a medical condition and had recently hired a female driver to help with her daily commute.

According to her sister, Esther was last seen wearing a black dress and black shoes after leaving the hotel area. She never returned home, prompting the family to file a missing person’s report.

Police say students from a local school near by told them that Wairimu was seen around that area looking for food before her body was later discovered.

Police are currently taking statements from her family members to try and find out matters Wairimu was facing that led to her disappearance and death
