Ndindi Nyoro Reveals When He Last Met and Spoke to Ruto Amid ‘Mole’ Claims

Kiharu Member of Parliament (MP) Ndindi Nyoro has revealed that he last spoke to President William Ruto in 2025, when he was still the chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee.

Speaking on JKL Live, Nyoro responded to a question about backing President Ruto in 2027 as running mate.

“The last time I talked to Ruto must have been in 2025 when I was still in the budget committee,” Nyoro said.

Nyoro said the last time they talked about political issues with President Ruto was during the impeachment of former DP Rigathi Gachagua.

He said the President questioned why he was not active in the impeachment process.

“The last conversation we ever had with the President was the sitting on me not participating in the impeachment. That is the last political conversation we ever had,” he said.

Nyoro Meetings With Ruto Afterwards

He explained that they continued meeting afterwards, but only in his capacity as the chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee.

Nyoro said newspapers had reported that he was likely to be removed from the position, but he continued meeting the President regardless, with their discussions focused specifically on budget-related matters.

“We continued to have meetings because I was still budget chair for a few months. We could meet; sometimes I was in the newspapers on how I would be removed, but we met, and I went my way afterwards,” Nyoro added.

How Mt. Kenya Leaders Warned Ruto

He revealed that some Mt Kenya leaders had warned President William Ruto against removing him, particularly after the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

According to Nyoro, the President expected him to plead to remain in the position, but he refused to do so. Ruto subsequently removed him as chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee.

“Some colleagues were fighting, telling him, you just removed Gachagua; you are now removing Ndindi and that it was a very good path. They used to report to me that he could tell them huyo kijana ni kiburi kwa sababu haendi kubembeleza. The expectation was I would go begging, but I never did. Maybe to him, it came out as I don’t care,” Nyoro said.

Nyoro insisted that no one can support the President and still claim to love the country.

He said he knows President Ruto very well and went on to state that the President has no chance of winning a second term.

“You cannot love Kenya and support William Ruto unless you don’t know him. If you know him, you cannot support him and at the same time love Kenya,” Nyoro said.
