After organizing the Mbavu Destroyer and Majembe boxing match, dubbed the Vurugu Boxing Match, in April 2026, Oga Obinna yielded to fans’ pressure to stage another event and give other boxers an opportunity.
Obinna has therefore organized another Vurugu Boxing Match featuring Kenyan and Ugandan boxers.
The scheduled fighters include Uganda’s Shakib and Kenyan boxers Arrow Boy, Phil, and Gachau.
According to the poster released by Obinna, the event will also feature performances by Ruger and Khaligraph Jones.

This second match has failed to grab widespread attention like the first one, fans are calling on Obinna to include Mbavu Destroyer.
In Obinna’s social media pages, netizens are complaining about how this second match will not be a success like the first one.
Most netizens say that it is because Mbavu Destroyer is missing in the lineup of Kenyan boxers.
An Instagram user commented, “Majembe vs Mbavu rematch hakuna?”
Another user said, “I thought Majembe ndio main character.”
“Mbavu ako wapi?” Another netizen commented.
Multiple netizens are asking Obinna to add Mbavu, but he has not yet made any replies.
On the other hand, netizens are asking if Ruger will be there or it is just a marketing strategy.
“Ruger anajua ako kwa line up?” A person asked Obinna in the comment section.
The Vurugu match between Mbavu Destroyer and Majembe attracted a large number of people who went to watch.
The president of Kenya was even involved by Obinna and the winner of the match went to see him in state house.
Both boxers went home with some money after the match.
The Vurugu 2.0 match is scheduled for June 20 2026, at the Sarit Centre in Nairobi from 3:00 p.m.
