Nicholas Kioko Reveals Why He Still Lives With Ex Ashley Wambo After Breakup

Kenyan content creator Nicholas Kioko has opened up about his living arrangements with his former partner, Ashley Wambo, revealing that the two are still living in the same house despite their breakup.

Speaking with his friend Stephen Jeyar, popularly known as Steve, Kioko explained that he continues to spend most of his time at the house as they work on relocating to their respective new homes.

He said he can visit and sleep at the home he previously shared with Wambo as they wait for their new houses to be completed.

Nicholas Kioko explained that the arrangement has remained peaceful and that their breakup has not prevented them from maintaining a relationship, particularly because they have children together.

“We have a very peaceful breakup. And then, there’s something that people don’t know. When you make a mistake with someone, you can’t accept it. You can accept it, but not accept it. Why? Because there are children involved,” Kioko said.

When asked whether he still lives at the house, Kioko confirmed that he spends most days there.

“I live there almost every day. Because you have children to look after? Yes. And I’m always shopping,” he said.

He further revealed that they are both working on their respective new homes and have not yet fully relocated.

According to the content creator, he is working on his new house, while Wambo is also working on a separate home.

“Even Wambui is going to a new house. And I’m going to my new house,” he said.

Kioko’s remarks come about two weeks after they announced the end of their relationship after four years together.

In a joint statement dated September 14, 2026, the couple said they had mutually decided to go their separate ways and had taken time to process the decision.

Kioko and Wambo said that while their romantic relationship has come to an end, they remain committed to raising their three children together, including their twin boys and their young daughter.

“While our relationship has come to an end, we remain committed to raising and loving our three amazing children,” they said.

The pair had built a large online following over the years by sharing family, parenting and lifestyle content across different social media platforms, with many followers closely following their journey as one of Kenya’s popular content creator couples.

In their statement, the two said they are choosing peace, respect and a new chapter as they move forward and appealed to the public to respect their privacy during the transition.
