Nyeri County Announces 467 Jobs and Internships: How to Apply

The Nyeri County Government has announced 467 job vacancies, including 370 internship opportunities across different departments.
In a notice dated Thursday, May 21, 2026, the county government called on qualified candidates to apply for the available positions.
“The County Government of Nyeri wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions,” read part of the notice issued by the Nyeri County Public Service Board.
Among the positions advertised are vacancies in the departments of Agriculture, Livestock and Aquaculture, Finance, Water, Environment and Climate Change, the Office of the County Secretary, and the Office of the County Attorney.

The county government advertised several technical and professional positions, including Agricultural Officers, Livestock Production Officers, Veterinary Officers, Accountants, Internal Auditors, ICT Officers, Legal Officers, Engineers, Fisheries Officers, and Assistant Inspectorate Officers.

The county also re-advertised several positions in the departments of Medical Services, Education, and Lands.

The re-advertised jobs include Senior Assistant Director of Medical Services/Radiologist, Senior Assistant Director of Medical Services/Orthopaedic Surgeon, Registered Nurse III, Youth Polytechnic Instructor III in Plumbing Technology, and Director of Valuation and Housing.

The county government said interested applicants should submit hard copies of their duly filled employment forms together with copies of academic and professional certificates and testimonials.

The deadline for submitting applications is June 10, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
The county government said full job descriptions, requirements, and application forms are available on the official Nyeri County Government website https://www.nyeri.go.ke/vacancies/.
Nyeri County further noted that all positions are on a three-year contract and warned applicants against paying money during the recruitment process.
