“Today, I officially accept my appointment as the next Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic Bank Kenya, effective 18th May, subject to Central Bank of Kenya approval,” he announced.
The post circulated rapidly online and triggered public debate, as it suggested a formal appointment to a top executive position without any official confirmation from the institution or regulators. The tone and structure of the message mirrored corporate leadership announcements, which contributed to the attention it received.
Bank Clarification
Stanbic Bank Kenya later issued a clarification addressing the circulating claims. The bank stated that the information shared on social media was inaccurate and did not reflect any official appointment.
It further confirmed that its leadership structure remains unchanged and no changes have been made to its executive leadership.
