SHA Extends HMIS Compliance Deadline for Healthcare Providers

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has extended the deadline for healthcare providers to comply with Health Management Information System (HMIS) requirements.
The Authority announced the one-month extension on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, giving healthcare providers additional time to complete their system configuration and compliance processes.
“Healthcare providers are hereby notified that the deadline for compliance with the Health Management Information System (HMIS) requirements has been extended by one (1) month, to 30 September 2026,” read part of the notice.
As a result, facilities that had not completed the required processes can now use the additional time to address outstanding requirements before the revised deadline.
Healthcare Providers Get More Time
The extension follows a June directive that gave healthcare providers three months to integrate their systems with HMIS. The authority also warned that facilities that failed to meet the requirements could face decontracting.
“This extension will allow healthcare providers additional time to complete the necessary system configuration and compliance processes,” the authority stated.
Therefore, providers can use the extra month to finalize their system configuration and resolve any outstanding issues affecting compliance.
In addition, SHA urged facilities to make full use of the extended period.
“All providers are encouraged to utilize the extension period to ensure full compliance within the revised deadline,” the authority said.

“Providers experiencing any technical or system-related challenges during the compliance process are advised to contact the Digital Health Agency’s (DHA) Technical Support for assistance and resolution,” the authority said.
Through the support channel, affected facilities can seek help to resolve technical difficulties that may affect their compliance.
