A hair salon along Thika road has gone viral on social media after they posted videos and photos of them welcoming their clients with alcohol shots before getting their hair styled.

The salon whose videos have been widely circulating online appears to give their customers some alcohol as part of their customer service.

In the photos and videos, salon attendants are giving customers small glasses of alcohol while the customers are smiling.

This is before the clients appointments begin. The unique hospitality gesture has therefore sparked a conversation online with netizens expressing their views on that.

Some social media users praised the action saying it creates a good environment for the clients to be free with their service providers.

Others on the other hand said how it could be a marketing strategy because many people will now go there because of the drinks and they will eventually get more customers.

However the trend has also attracted criticism from Kenyans who are saying that salons are professional spaces and it is not good to mix business with pleasure.
