Vivo Energy Picks George King’ara to Represent Kenya at Shell V-Power Games

Kenyan automotive content creator George King’ara is going to represent Kenya in Budapest at the Shell V-Power games after he was selected as the Shell V-Power influencer by Vivo Energy Kenya.

According to a statement by Vivo Energy, the scheduled event is to bring together more than 60 international creators from across the world to compete in a series of physical, mental, team-based, and driving challenges.

Among the participants are South African actress and media personality Nomzamo Mbatha and Moroccan television presenter Hicham Masrar.

According to Vivo Energy, George’s participation highlights the growing recognition of automotive content creation in Kenya while offering local talent an opportunity on the global stage.

V-Power Games

The Shell V-Power games celebrate the performance of the Shell V-Power fuel, which is in collaboration with Scuderia Ferrari.

Shell and Ferrari have one of the longest partnerships, with Shell V-Power being the only fuel that is used and trusted by Ferrari.

George spoke before leaving for Budapest and he said that he was honoured to represent Kenya at a global stage.

“What started as a passion for creating automotive content has opened doors to an amazing global opportunity. This is a proud moment for me as I partner with a strong brand such as Shell V-Power to tell its story. I’m excited to fly the Kenyan flag high, connect with creators from around the world and watch my heroes battle it out for position one at the F1 Hungary GP,” he said.

Content Creators

Peter Murungi, the managing director for Vivo Energy Kenya, said the initiative demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting creators and they were delighted to have George on board.

“We are delighted to have George King’ara represent Kenya at the Shell V-Power Games. Seeing a Kenyan creator stand alongside over 60 other international creators reflects the growing influence of our creative industry and Vivo Energy’s commitment to providing opportunities that inspire,” Murungi said.

George has built a strong online following through his automotive content that showcases vehicle reviews, driving experiences, industry insights and his work has contributed to the growth of Kenya’s automotive culture.

Vivo Energy further said that George’s fans and followers can follow his journey to Budapest across all their social media platforms.
