Lady Robbed in Broad Daylight as Kenyans Ask Why No One Helped

A video showing a woman being robbed in broad daylight in Nairobi has sparked a reaction online, with Kenyans questioning why people who appeared to be passing by did not intervene as the incident unfolded.

The video seen by Hivileo shows a group of three men surrounding and harassing the woman before allegedly taking her purse and phone.

The incident has since triggered an online debate, with many expressing concern over why none of the people who appeared to be nearby stepped in to assist the woman.

Kenyans Question Why No One Helped Woman Robbed in Broad Daylight in Nairobi

One Kenyan, Sazzy Karol, questioned why nobody appeared to come to the woman’s aid, expressing disbelief at the apparent lack of intervention.

“Yaani no one could help the lady? Watu wanapita tu surely,”

Additionally, another Kenyan, Ed Wonder, similarly criticised the response of the people around the scene, saying the saddest part was that Kenyans would watch someone being robbed without doing anything.

“Zero efforts to help the lady,”

The footage has also renewed concerns over daytime robberies and insecurity in Nairobi.

Some Kenyans reacted to the video by saying robbers were increasingly carrying out attacks during the day and appeared to have become less fearful.

Other reactions focused on the need for authorities to take stronger action against suspected criminals.

This came after one Kenyan argued that allowing what they described as “goonism” to become normal could expose more citizens to robberies and other forms of violence.

They warned that failure to address the problem could lead to more serious incidents in the future while urging people to remain cautious when moving around.

 Women Raise Concern Over Wig Snatching in Nairobi CBD

The concerns over the increase in street crime come amid separate reports of wig-snatching incidents involving women in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD).

Model Shannz Matiru has raised concern over what she described as rising cases of thieves snatching wigs from women in Nairobi CBD, urging women to remain alert while moving around the city centre.

Her concern came after Nail technician Kristy narrated a frightening experience in which she said her wig was snatched by a thief in Nairobi CBD while she was running her errands.

According to Kristy, the incident began when the thief knocked her on the head before pulling off her wig.

She described the pain caused by the attack as feeling like someone was waxing her hairline as the wig was glued to her head.
