The Government of Kenya has announced an updated schedule for the disbursement of business start-up capital under the NYOTA Project, a flagship youth empowerment programme.
The update was issued on Sunday, January 25, 2026, by the State Department for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development, which provided new dates and counties to be used in releasing funds to successful youth applicants.
Notably, The Nyota Project, which is actually known as the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement, operates on a rallying call “Kuza, Imarisha, Endeleza Vijana!” and is dedicated to assisting young entrepreneurs through finance, knowledge, and opportunities to grow successful businesses.
The new timetable ensures better coordination so that the disbursement process is smooth, crystal clear, and timely.
According to the update, the disbursement exercise will take place on four separate dates, beginning Thursday, January 29, 2026.
On that day, Kisii County targets to have its beneficiaries from Kisii, Migori, and Nyamira counties.
