The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has officially adopted and published its Annual Procurement Plan within the Government of Kenya’s Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system.

This adoption marks a significant milestone in aligning with the Government’s digital transformation agenda and the presidential directive on full e-GP rollout.

The e-GP system digitizes KAA’s entire procurement process, enabling a paperless, transparent, and seamless workflow from planning to contract award.

This platform enhances visibility and accountability, reinforcing KAA’s commitment to compliance and integrity in service delivery to Kenyans.

KAA’s Managing Director, Dr. Mohamud Gedi, commented, “Achieving this was no small feat, considering our operations span 19 directorates and over 147 cost centers.

This accomplishment demonstrates our unified dedication to operational excellence across the Authority.”

Caleb Kositany, Chairman of the KAA Board, noted, “By adopting the e-GP system and publishing our Annual Procurement Plan digitally, we are embracing innovation to improve efficiency and transparency. This system fosters trust and offers our suppliers a streamlined procurement experience.”

The authority extends sincere gratitude to the procurement team, led by Vincent Korir, the broader internal teams across KAA, and the facilitators from The National Treasury, under the leadership of Jared Onyango, whose resources and expertise were invaluable in ensuring the system’s successful deployment.

Suppliers and service providers are urged to register and familiarize themselves with the e-GP system, as all future procurement transactions with KAA will be exclusively conducted through this platform.

This adoption reinforces KAA’s ongoing commitment to Government reforms aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency, and quality service delivery to the Kenyan public.
