Media personality Kamene Goro has emotionally narrated how she nearly lost her life during a severe infection that required emergency surgery.
Speaking in an interview, Kamene revealed that doctors warned her she had only a few hours left to live due to the seriousness of her condition.
“So now I want you to know we have but a few hours… When you came to the hospital, we had 12 hours. Now I’m seeing we have about four, five, six hours,” she recalled the doctor telling her.
She disclosed that doctors removed five liters of pus from her stomach during surgery, describing the infection as life-threatening.
“My level of infection was so bad. They removed five liters of pus from my stomach… Everyone I was in ICU with, I’m the only one who came out.”
Kamene added that complications continued even after surgery, including an attack of pneumonia that delayed her recovery.
Kamene reflected on how the experience changed her perspective on relationships and support systems, revealing that some people she expected to be there for her were absent.
She said she was shocked by the people who showed up during her darkest moments, including MP Felix Odiwuor-Jalang’o
“You’d be so shocked who’s going to be there for you in your 11th hour… The people who were there were not the people I thought would be there.”
She also shared a painful moment when someone who owed her money allegedly blocked her mother during the crisis.
“My daughter is going to the theater..After 15 minutes, he blocked my mum,” she said.

During the interview, Kamene hinted that her husband, Deejay Bonez, was notably absent during her hospitalization, sparking public discussion online.
When asked about the matter, she acknowledged that one important person was missing at the time.
“Your husband wasn’t there,” the interviewer stated during the conversation, highlighting the concern.
Kamene did not delve deeply into details but suggested that the issue remains unresolved.
Shortly after the interview circulated online, Deejay Bonez appeared to respond indirectly through a cryptic message posted on Instagram.
“I won’t talk much, but one day you’ll know my story.”
The brief post sparked mixed reactions from fans, with many interpreting it as a response to the ongoing online debate surrounding Kamene’s revelations.
Some social media users expressed curiosity about his side of the story, while others urged both parties to address the issue privately.
Despite the traumatic experience, Kamene emphasized that she is now in a much better place emotionally and mentally.
“Do what makes you happy. Value the people who value you… Drop the trash… Just be happy.”
When asked about her current state, she responded confidently:
“Right now? Stupid happy.”

Kamene Goro and Deejay Bonez ‘s relationship became public around 2021 after months of speculation about their close relationship and growing romance.
The two had reportedly known each other for years before things turned romantic.
Their relationship progressed quietly, with Kamene later revealing that they didn’t start off on good terms and actually had friction before eventually reconnecting and building a relationship.
In April 2023, the couple held a private wedding ceremony attended by close friends and family. The event confirmed months of engagement rumours after DJ Bonez had proposed during a trip to Diani.
Following their wedding, Kamene often described marriage as a learning process, saying the two were still “growing together” and continuously working on understanding each other.
