Kinangop MP Zack Thuku Mourns Death of Father

Kinangop MP Zack Thuku is mourning the death of his father, whom he described as his mentor, teacher, and role model.

Thuku announced his father’s death in an emotional tribute on Sunday, saying the loss had left a huge void in his life and family.

The MP credited his father for shaping his values, faith, and approach to leadership.

“This wonderful soul, my loving Dad, my instructor, disciplinarian, my first preacher and teacher, my mentor and role model,” Thuku said.

The legislator said his father instilled virtues that continue to guide him in Parliament and in Kinangop, describing him as a man who led by example and taught through action.

“You taught me humility, respect, and the fear of the Lord. You taught me courage and what leadership is and what it is not,” he said.

Thuku added that his father’s sacrifices and lessons will remain with him forever despite his physical departure.

He said the family takes comfort in knowing their patriarch now rests with his maker.

“Dad, you have departed the physical realm, gone to live eternally with your maker whom you served. I will forever be grateful for the sacrifice, the love, and the lessons I benefited from you, Dad. Go well, it is well,” he said.

Leaders and supporters sent condolence messages immediately after Thuku shared the news.

Eldas MP Adan Keynan mourned with his colleague, describing the loss of a father as an immeasurable tragedy to any family.

“My deepest and heartfelt condolences go out to my colleague, Hon. Zac Kwenya Thuku-MP Kinangop and his entire family following the passing of their beloved patriarch,” Keynan said.

Condolences Pour in for MP Kwenya Following Bereavement

Keynan noted that fathers remain pillars of guidance, wisdom, and strength.

He also prayed for peace during the difficult period.

“May the Almighty grant Hon. Kwenya, the entire family, his constituents, and the people of Murang’a comfort, fortitude, and peace during this difficult moment of grief and mourning,” he said.

Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi also condoled with the MP.

“Pole sana bro. God grant you peace and comfort,” Itumu said.

Thuku did not disclose the cause of death or burial arrangements, stating his father had represented Kinangop constituency in Parliament since 2022.
