Lenana School Issues Fresh Directives to Students Ahead of Re-Admission

Lenana School has announced new readmission guidelines for its students following the unrest that occurred at the institution on June 1, 2026.
In a notice dated June 8, the school said students will be allowed back in phases, following consultations with the Ministry of Education, the Board of Management, and the Parents Association.
“Following the student unrest that occurred on 1st June 2026 and the subsequent consultations with the Ministry of Education, the Board of Management, and PA stakeholders, the school management wishes to inform all parents and guardians that students will be readmitted according to the following schedule,” read part of the notice.
The school stressed that the readmission process will be conducted under strict conditions to ensure order and accountability following the incident that damaged school property.
According to the schedule, Form Four students will be the first to report on Wednesday, June 10, between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Grade 10 students will report in two groups, with the first cohort on Monday, June 15, and the second on Tuesday, June 16. Form Three students will return in two phases on June 18 and June 19.
Lenana School Directs Parents to Accompany Students for Re-Admission
The school directed that every student must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the re-admission process.

Students who arrive with siblings, relatives, drivers, or any other individuals will not be admitted back to the school.
The administration also stated that check-in and re-admission will strictly take place between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Students arriving after the specified time will not be processed and may have to wait for a later date set by the school.
Requirements During Readmission
Before being readmitted, students must clear all outstanding school fees and any other pending financial obligations.
The school has further directed that each student will be required to pay Ksh 3,600 towards repairs of property damaged during the unrest.

Parents and guardians will be required to provide proof of payment during the re-admission exercise.
Students are also expected to report in full official school uniform and adhere to the institution’s grooming standards.
Those found in non-uniform items or in violation of the school’s dress code will not be admitted.
Additionally, mobile phones, electronic gadgets, civilian clothes, and other unauthorised items remain strictly prohibited.
