ODPP Announces Auction of Vehicles and Stores at Nairobi Headquarters

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) will auction unserviceable motor vehicles and various stores on Tuesday, July 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. at its headquarters in Nairobi.
ODPP has appointed Trend Auctioneers to conduct the auction on its behalf.
“The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is pleased to invite interested bidders for the sale of unserviceable motor vehicles & absolute stores on 22/7/2026 at 10.00 A.M. at our Offices in Nairobi”, stated the board.
Viewing is available from 9 th July to 17 th July 2026 between 9 AM and 4 PM, during normal office hours.
ODPP stated that it will auction the goods on an “as is, where is” basis and reminded prospective buyers to verify all details, noting that neither the ODPP nor the auctioneer guarantees the accuracy of the listed particulars.
Deposit and Payment Requirements for Auction Bidders
Interested bidders are required to deposit to bid; motor vehicle bidders are expected to pay 10% of the reserve, while store bidders shall pay Ksh 5,000.
The money shall be deposited in the “Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions” account, and the deposit will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders.
The payment details are listed as REC-Directorate of Public Prosecutions (Account Name), 1000181605 (Account Number), Central Bank of Kenya.
Any successful bidder will be required to pay 25% of the selling price ‘at the fall of the hammer’ and the clear balance within seven days.
“Failure to which the bidder forfeits the deposit,” warns ODPP.

ODPP Auction Terms and Conditions
The successful bidders are required to clear the vehicles within 14 days from the auction date or be subjected to daily storage charges of Ksh 2,000, “on failure to which the storage shall be charged at Ksh 2,000 per day,” states the notice.
The sale is subject to the reserve price, and each deposit is for one motor vehicle only.
Bidding numbers will only be issued on the day of the auction, when a cash deposit has been paid.

The Offices encourage prospective bidders to verify motor vehicle details before the tendering process.
