The Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) will continue operating after the High Court dismissed an objection filed by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) seeking to stop the institution’s activities.

In a notice issued on July 9, 2026, KIM informed students, stakeholders, and the public that the court decision allows the institute to remain operational as the legal matter continues.

The notice followed proceedings in which TVETA challenged the institute’s operations, with the High Court rejecting the authority’s objection against KIM.

“We wish to inform you that the High Court has today dismissed the objection filed by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) against the Institute,” KIM stated in the notice.

The institute said the ruling upholds earlier court orders issued on April 22, 2026, which allowed it to continue its operations pending further directions from the court.

The Institute stated that its continued operations are based on the orders issued by the High Court, which remain applicable as the matter proceeds through the judicial process.

“This ruling affirms that the Kenya Institute of Management remains operational by virtue of the orders issued by the Honourable Court on 22nd April 2026,” the notice read.

The institution added that it will continue operating in line with the court’s directives while awaiting further developments in the case.
