Samuel decided to get into elective politics after the death of Ol Kalou MP David Kiaraho, which called for a by-election in the constituency.

Politics

Therefore, he won the UDA party ticket with 3,121 votes, defeating George Wambugu, who had a total of 3077 votes.

After his nomination, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) cleared him to vie for the July 16, 2026, by-elections in Ol Kalou.

As a result, Samuel’s candidacy gained prominence quickly in Ol Kalou, with opinion polls placing him in front of other candidates.
