The Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) has announced 12 opportunities for law graduates seeking to undertake their pupillage at the Parliament of Kenya.
The six-month programme is expected to start on February 1, 2027, and is listed under Vacancy Number PPP/PSC/LEG/001/2027.
The opportunity targets Kenyans who have been admitted to the Kenya School of Law for the 2026/2027 academic year and meet the academic and other requirements set out in the vacancy notice.
Parliament has previously hosted pupils as part of the professional training required for admission to the Bar. Its legal services directorates have been involved in the programme, with pupils receiving exposure to the practice of law within the legislative institution.

Applicants must have an Upper Second-Class law degree
The vacancy notice requires applicants to hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree with at least an Upper Second Class Honours from a recognised university.
Applicants must also have secured admission to the Kenya School of Law for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Beyond academic qualifications, the Commission wants candidates who can communicate effectively in both English and Kiswahili. The advert specifies a minimum grade of B plain in each of the two subjects.
Computer literacy is another requirement. Candidates are also expected to show that they can work with others, take initiative and handle assignments within given timelines.
The placement is intended to form part of the practical training undertaken by Kenya School of Law students before they qualify for admission to legal practice.
The advert, however, does not give a detailed breakdown of the specific departments where the 12 pupils will be placed or the day-to-day assignments they will handle.
Applicants required to submit one PDF
Those who meet the requirements must complete the Parliamentary Service Commission Job Application Form, commonly referred to as Form 1J.
The form can be obtained from the Parliament of Kenya website or collected from the PSC reception desk at County Hall, Parliament Buildings, Nairobi.
Applicants are required to submit the completed form together with a copy of their Kenya School of Law admission letter, certified academic certificates and certified testimonials.
The documents are to be combined into a single PDF file before submission.
According to the vacancy information provided, applications should be sent by email to recruitment.pupils@gmail.com. The notice also states that applications without Form 1J will not be considered and that hard-copy applications will not be accepted.

The notice gives September 21, 2025, as the application deadline.

Parliament’s website confirms that the institution runs pupillage as part of its legal training and mentorship activities, but the specific 2027 vacancy details were not located in the official Parliament pages reviewed for this report.
