KMTC Announces 94 Jobs Including Lecturers, Drivers and ICT Officers

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), a State Corporation established by an Act of Parliament and falling under the Ministry of Health, has announced 94 job vacancies at its headquarters and campuses.

Founded in 1927, KMTC trains professionals in various health-sector disciplines, conducts research and provides consultancy services.

The college is seeking competent, result-oriented, knowledgeable, dynamic, visionary and experienced candidates to fill 14 vacant positions.

“Applicants whose background and competencies match the above specifications are invited to make their applications ONLINE through the College website http://recruit.kmtc.ac.ke/jobs,” the collage stated.

Available Positions at KMTC

The vacancies span several departments and include opportunities in teaching, ICT, finance, human resources, administration, supply chain management, security, transport and other support services. Among the positions advertised by KMTC are:

  • Senior Lecturer, Pharmacy – 5 positions, Job Grade 6
  • Lecturer II, Mortuary Science – 8 positions, Job Grade 8 (Re-advertisement)
  • Assistant Director, Information Communication Technology – 1 position, Job Grade 4
  • Accountant II / Finance Officer II – 5 positions, Job Grade 8
  • Human Resource Management Officer II – 5 positions, Job Grade 8
  • Library Assistant III – 5 positions, Job Grade 9
  • Supply Chain Management Assistant III – 5 positions, Job Grade 9
  • Assistant Office Administrator III – 5 positions, Job Grade 9
  • Information Communication Technology Assistant III – 5 positions, Job Grade 9
  • Clerical Officer II – 10 positions, Job Grade 11
  • Security Warden III – 10 positions, Job Grade 12
  • Artisan III – 5 positions, Job Grade 12
  • Driver III – 10 positions, Job Grade 12
  • Office Assistant III – 10 positions, Job Grade 13

Together, the advertised positions account for 94 vacancies.

Application Requirements

To apply, candidates must complete their applications online through the college’s recruitment portal. KMTC will not accept hard-copy applications.

The college has also instructed applicants to provide complete and accurate information when submitting their applications.

“Applicants should provide all the details requested for in the advertisement. It is an offence to include incorrect information in the application,” it stated.

Furthermore, applicants should not include details of academic or professional certificates they will not have obtained by the application deadline.

After shortlisting, candidates must produce the original versions of their documents during interviews. These include:

  • National Identity Card
  • Academic certificates
  • Professional certificates
  • Academic transcripts

KMTC has warned that presenting fake certificates or documents is a criminal offence.

Clearance Documents

Beyond the interview stage, successful candidates must provide several clearance documents before the college issues their offer letters.

KMTC requires the documents in compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Successful candidates must provide:

  • Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) clearance certificate
  • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) clearance certificate
  • Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) clearance certificate
  • Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) clearance certificate
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)

Application Deadline

Applicants have until Wednesday, September 30, 2026, to submit their applications.

Meanwhile, KMTC has encouraged qualified candidates from various groups to apply as part of its commitment to equal employment opportunities and affirmative action.

However, only shortlisted candidates will receive communication from the college.

The institution has also warned that any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
