Kericho County Announces Permanent and Pensionable Jobs: How to Apply

The County Government of Kericho has announced 14 job vacancies on permanent and pensionable terms, opening opportunities for suitably qualified candidates seeking employment in the county government.
According to the Kericho County Public Service Board, the recruitment covers three positions in the health sector, with successful candidates set to serve under Job Group M.
Kericho County Vacancies
The advertised positions are:
- Medical Officer – 10 posts
- Dental Officer – 2 posts
- Pharmacist – 2 posts
Issued pursuant to the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012, the advertisement sets out the application procedure and requirements for interested candidates.
How to Apply
Interested candidates must submit their applications online through the county’s recruitment portal.

Applicants must attach scanned copies of their National Identity Card or passport, curriculum vitae, academic and professional certificates, and other relevant testimonials before the Wednesday, September 30, 2026 deadline.

Additionally, the board will not accept applications submitted through post or delivered by hand. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

Warning Against Fraud
Alongside the recruitment announcement, the county has cautioned applicants against fraudsters who may seek money during the hiring process.
“Be aware of fraudsters. Applicants are advised not to send or give money for any purpose whatsoever including administrative or shortlisting fee. Anyone asking for money or soliciting for bribes should be reported to the nearest police station,” the board stated.
Furthermore, the board warned that any form of canvassing would lead to automatic disqualification.
Documents Required for Shortlisted Applicants
Shortlisted applicants must meet the requirements of Chapter (6) six of the Constitution of Kenya and provide the following valid documents:
- A valid tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
- A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI);
- A valid Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
- A valid Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB); and
- A valid Clearance Certificate from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

Beyond the recruitment requirements, the county has encouraged applications from women, youth, persons with disabilities, marginalized and minority groups.
