Morara Post Cryptic Message Hours After Confirming He Has Two Wives

Morara Kebaso has sparked fresh speculation online after posting a photo of his second wife, Pauline, with the brief message “Goodnight”, hours after confirming that he has two wives.

The update came after Morara opened up about his marital status during an interview on Etaya Radio 100.3 on Wednesday, September 9, where he described himself as a polygamous man.

“I am a polygamous man. I have two wives,” Morara said.

The timing of the post has attracted attention because it comes shortly after Morara’s family life was thrust into the spotlight following his public fallout with Mercy Makini, the mother of his three children.

The dispute began after Morara addressed their separation publicly, despite Mercy saying she had expected the matter to remain private. His response also included praise for Pauline, bringing her into a conversation that had initially centred on his relationship with Mercy.

Morara Praises Pauline Amid Fallout With Mercy

In his response to the discussion surrounding his family, Morara acknowledged Mercy’s role as the mother of his three children, Zainah Morara, Garang Morara and MK Junior.

“Mercy has earned her place of high respect as the mother of 3 children (Zainah Morara, Garang Morara and MK Junior).”

Morara then spoke about Pauline, expressing his support for her and directly addressing her role amid the family discussions.

“As for Pauline, I think she is doing a great job. 100% support.”

His remarks placed Pauline alongside the acknowledgment he had given Mercy as the mother of his children. Morara did not provide further details about the nature of his relationship with Pauline in that statement but made clear that he supported her.

He concluded the message with an encouragement directed at Pauline.

“Be fruitful and move forward.”

Morara Explains His Decision to Address Family Matters

Morara said he had initially preferred not to discuss his family on social media but explained that remaining silent could allow unverified claims to spread.

He said Kenyans on social media could form opinions based on information available to them when a person involved chose not to respond.

“Therefore, when you don’t say anything. Something will be said for you and people will believe it.”

Morara further explained why he sometimes felt compelled to provide his side of events, arguing that a lack of factual information could create room for falsehoods.

“The absence of factual information makes falsehood the only available information.”

He also acknowledged the level of scrutiny that comes with being a public figure.

“As a public figure I understand that my private life comes under sharp scrutiny. It is the burden of fame or popularity.”

Morara said he had the permission and blessing of his family to serve the nation as a leader and asked to remain focused on that responsibility.
